Day 31 Bonus Shower Scrubby

Yup a shower scrubby was the best that I could come up with. I have no Idea what I'm going to do for the HxH. Wish me luck.

Raspberries

These are raspberries picked fresh today from the bush in our garden. Mmmmm yummy. Is this the last day or are we doing one more tomorrow?

Empty Water Jug

I was at a church BBQ this evening and when I saw this empty water jug I took a chance and got a macro. I think that it turned out neat.

Cedar Plank Salmon

Tonight we cooked some Salmon on a Cedar plank. This is the first time that I have tried it. My heavens it was good. So light and juicy. Mmmmmm.
Well, anyway it looked so nice that I had to take a couple of pictures. I had a hard time deciding which one to use. I think I made the right call to choose the first one. I did have to do some touching up to really make them shine. I sharpened the both up with an unsharp mask then ran a high pass filter and finally I added some vignetting.

L is for Lamb

This lamb is from one of my son's little cloth books. The other animals are a pig, cow and a horse.
He really likes to chew on it.

Hairbrush

This is a hairbrush. Not much else to say. Congrats to everyone who has kept going in this month long test of endurance. I'm off to work now.

Baby Lips

I was finally able to get a macro picture of my son, He was sound asleep in his car seat so I got this shot of his super cute baby lips. I would have had his nose in the picture but I cropped it out because he had a booger in it.

Spider Leftovers

I was trying to get a good macro of a spider that has a web on our window. It went and hid deep in it's web but I did see these carcasses and had to take a shot of them. I especially like the headless one.

I also went and saw Batman : Dark Knight. Awesome movie! I must see it again.

Six Year Old Eyes

Holy Crow was it hard to get my oldest daughter to hold still enough to get a good picture of her eyes. She is really going to be a boy killer with those eyes when she gets older. If the boys wind up sniffing around like I think they will I might have to become a boy killer as well.

Oil and Vinegar

We had salad tonight with supper. The lettuce was from our garden and was very tasty. I made a salad dressing of olive oil and apple cider vinegar. This shot is of the glass bowl I used to mix it in. I like this picture.

Seasoned Chicken

Todays shot was suggested by my wife. I was just about to go put the chicken on the BBQ when she said should take a Macro picture of the salt and pepper on the chicken. I took a couple and they looked good. so there you go. Uncooked seasoned chicken.

Summer Storm

So sorry for the really long picture but I had to put those together for you to get some idea of how much and how fast the rain came down. The pictures were taken after about 15 min of storm. It went on for another 15 - 20 minutes. I'll get back to the Macro tomorrow.

Deep Fried Oreo

I went with my family to Taste of Saskatchewan today. It is a 5 day event that showcases about 40 local restaurants. They all have a small sample of their menu items. One of them had Deep fried Oreo's. Donut batter around an Oreo. My goodness are they good. They also had deep fried Mars bars. I didn't have the courage to try one of those.

Young Pine cone

So today my family went to the Saskatoon forestry farm(Zoo) and while we were walking around I noticed this immature pine cone. I thought that it looked really neat. I took a bunch of other pics that I might post another time.

Bled Out Hearts

Here is today's picture. It is some dead bleeding heart flowers. I really like the DOF effect that I was able to get. I really like this picture.

Drain Plug

I almost forgot about taking a picture today. So here is the drain plug from my sink.

Spicy Nuts and Fruit

So the shot today is of a snack called socorro. It is a mix of Macadamia nuts, Hazelnuts, Mango, Papaya and Southwestern Chipotle. It is VERY yummy. It s from Sahale Snacks

Also, thanks to everyone who has been looking and commenting on my pictures. I work a lot and I'm sorry that I can't comment on all the others in the contest very often.

Baby Alex

This is my boy. he is almost 7 months old. This isn't macro but it is as close as I could get without him grabbing the camera. He has pablum all over his face.

P.S. I was mistaken about yesterday subject. It is not bone but seashell. Sorry. It just isn't as cool when it is shell.

Bone necklace

A bone necklace. That is really all I have to say.
I almost have everything up and running on my desk top. Woot!

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Supper tonight was Tuna Noodle Casserole. It was very tasty and looked good. The back drop is the clip on part of my sons highchair. I wish I had been able to get he steam coming off of the food in the shot but I was way to hungry to try.

Nipples.

So as I was getting ready for work this morning (6 am). I looked and saw my son's bottles and thought that a macro of the nipples would look cool. I think I was right.

Compost

Sorry about the garbage picture today. I just got home from a 12 hour day at work. Didn't have a lot of time and I'm sleepy. The picture is of the top of our compost thing. No promises on the next two days I work them both.

Childrens Toes

I remembered late that I needed to take a picture for today. My daughters volunteered to let me shoot their toes. So, there they are, dirt and all.

Lilies and Ants

So after seeing all the macro flower shots I figured that I would go with the flow and do one of my own. As you can see I got a bit distracted by the ants that were inside the flower. They were hard to photograph because they were running all over the place. Below is a bonus Flower picture.

Computer Innards

Thank Heavens that I have a laptop. The hard drive on my desk top started to act very strange and so I was able to get a new drive and I decided to re-install everything so that it was clean on my system. What a chore I forgot how long this stuff takes. I would have missed today if I didn't have my laptop. Wish me luck on getting it going.

Ratty Old piece of Hotdog

So, yesterday was Canada Day and we had some friends over for a B-B-Q.
Today I was looking for something to take a picture of and I found this dried up piece of hot dog. They are not so appetizing after they dry out.

New 30 day Photo Challange

Well, there is a new Photo challenge and I hope that I do better on this one than I did on the last. So as you can see todays picture is of a butter fly. I don't expect my pictures to be all that sharp this time. I knocked my camera off of my desk and I think that I messed up the focus. All I know is it isn't working quite the way it should. Sadly I cannot afford to get a better camera right now so I'll have to suffer through it and so will you. Well, you will if you keep checking out my blog.
