Early Skills Develpoment Signs.

So here is the story behind this picture. My five year old daughter was having some self control issues in her Kindergarten class. She was throwing tantrums, not listening. Basically being a Five year old. So it was recommended that she be placed in a program called the Early Skills Development Program. This is a program where a teacher comes in and teaches the children about the basics of inter personal interaction. My wife and I agreed to let her take it.

At first I felt like it was saying that I was a bad father and that I had not taught my daughter what she needs. The lady who was running the course pointed out that in the past families always had lots of help in raising a child and it was not a sign of bad parenting that Lily was in this class.

After about three weeks My wife and I were able to see a big difference in how Lily was acting at home. She really was growing. By the end of the 11 week program she was a different child. She still has her rough days but she has grown so much. So these are the signs that were sent home to help us and her remember what the skills are and how to use them.

If you actually read this thanks. It feels good to share once in a while.
