The Leap Home

Appleface had reached the end of his month long journey. Having accomplished all that he needed to do Appleface leaped that one last time and was never seen again.

It has been a pleasure and a trial all at the same time. I really have no idea what to do for the HxH. Wish me luck.

Away into the Sunset.

Appleface nearing the end his time decided to set sail for other lands to see what he could see. I watched him sail away with a lump in my throat. He was so much fun to have around. Don't worry I have a feeling that I will hear from him tomorrow. He promised to let me know what he found.

Out on the range

Appleface can be seen reclining in a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios while sitting on the range top. What can I say, he likes to live dangerously.

Is there one more or two more days left? It has all become a blur and I' m so confused.

Cherry Chocolates

Appleface was sitting in this empty box of Cherry Chocolates basking in the glorious scent of those wonderful sweets. He's old now and takes pleasure where he can find it.

Hannah Baby

Here is Appleface posing with my 4 yr old daughter Hannah. I don't know how portrait photographers work with kids for a living. I was ready to start crying after 5 min of trying to get her to smile nice and look at the camera. It's a good thing that Appleface is a patient fruit.

A portrait of Appleface with my, genetically incapable of smiling normal for a picture, daughter Lily. This was the least goofy of the pictures I took of the two of them. They did seem to have fun. Tomorrow will be a portrait with my other daughter.

Jujubes

Appleface sucking back on candy again. It's a good thing that he has no teeth.

Playing with a Robot

Appleface was in a playful mood again today so I let him play with a robot. I think that they got along well. The robot made sure to play gently with Appleface.

Hide and seek.

Appleface hid in a broken French Onion Soup tureen today. I thought that he looked so cute hiding there that I had to take a picture of him. I guess he is still just a seedling at heart.

Watching to much Blossom

Appleface has been watching reruns of Blossom and was goofing around with some hats. I grabbed a picture of him in this one. I guess he likes the bit floppy hats like Blossom did.

PS I'm finally on my last of seven night shifts. *Whew*

On the bandwagon

Appleface wanted to be part of the wave of pictures sweeping the internet in regards to Obama's inauguration. So I snapped this pic of him looking at today's paper. Don't worry we'll be back to our regular madcap adventures tomorrow.

Slumming

So Apple face has taken to slumming with the soft fruits in the house. I asked him why he was hanging with the Banana's. "Why not?" he responded. Can't really argue with that.

A Good Book

Like me Appleface enjoys reading a good Hard Boiled Sci-Fi Comedy Detective novel.I'd recommend you give them a try as well.

In the Trees

Appleface was doing his impersonation of George of the Jungle. I guess that makes me Ape.

The second picture today show what happens when you camera has a freak out. I have no idea what happened. Other that shrinking it to post I made no adjustments. The picture before and after this one were fine. Strange.

Art Appreciation

I wanted to broaden Appleface's cultural appreciation so here he is enjoying some of my oldest daughters art work.

I'm for for night number 2 of 7 12 hour night shifts. *shudder*

Shameless Product Placement

Money has been a bit tight around the house the last little while. Appleface, in an effort to make a little extra money, thought that he might become the new I-pod spokes fruit. Some how I don't think Apple Co will go with that. It was a nice thought though.

Cruising

Appleface was feeling a little stir crazy so I put him in a truck and put him in front of a picture of a wheat field. I played some cruising music for him. I think he felt better even though he never left the house.

Portrait

Not feeling very inspired today. So I convinced Appleface to throw on a scarf and pose for a portrait. I must say that this really shows his growing character.

How many Applefaces does it take...?

I asked Appleface if he could change the burnt out bulb for me. You can tell by the look on his face what he thought of that request. I could tell that he wanted to slap me. I feel bad now because it was a mean question to ask. Funny but mean.

Down on the Farm.

Appleface was getting a little tired of the hustle and bustle around the house so he decided to head on down to the farm and get in some good relaxing on the old rocking chair. He said all that farm fresh air helped re- invigorate him. We might try a few action shots before my nice long stretch at work.

Snowfall Warning

Well, I convinced Appleface to pose for me out in the snow. I figured that I should get him out before the heavy snowfall really stars coming down. Winter is really sticking it to use this year. We have a December that the average temperature didn't get above -20 and now we have a heavey snowfall warning. Sigh, Appleface is really seeing what winter in Sakatchewan is like.

The Kiss better.

Alex my son wanted to give Appleface a kiss better. Unfortunately halfway through the kiss it turned into an attempted bite. Well, can you blame the kid? Appleface is an apple. I don't think that Appleface really wants to be in reach of any of my children now. Poor guy.

Intervention

I had to confront Apple face with evidence of his actions. He wasn't pleased that I had followed him. But after seeing himself and the condition that he is in he agreed to stop going to Apple Fight Club. Lets hope he keeps his promise.

I followed Appleface last night. I could not believe my eyes when I saw what he was doing. No wonder he looks so bad. I'll try to convince him to stop.

Tricked!

So I got Appleface to join the family at the pubic library today. On the way home I just happened to stop at the local emergency department. He was not impressed. When we talked to the Doctor he said the it appears that Appleface is suffering the effects of old age and possible bruising due to trauma. I'm not sure how he got hurt but I will do my best to find out.

Scant Protection

When I told Appleface that I wanted to take him to see the Doctor he got quite frightened and ran and hid in a foam castle built by my kids. I didn't have the heart to to tell him how indefensible the castle was. I figure that I'll take him out for a drive and just happen to stop at the Doctors office.

Back to school.

This morning I found Appleface hiding in my daughters lunch bag. He wanted to go to school with her but when he found out that they eat apples at school he wisely decided to stay home.

I'm worried about him. He appears to have a problem with his one eye. I think it might be wise to take him to see the Apple doctor.

Beyond Cold

So this morning was the coldest day of winter so far. The temp was -40 C and -54 C with the windchill. Now apple face, having grown in a temperate climate was quite shocked to see this kind of cold. From the pictures you can see how thick the ice was on the inside of our windows. I tried to convince him to go outside but it was futile.

Absolutly Appalled Appleface

Appleface appalled at the treatment of fruits and vegetables in our house hold. It took some fast talking to get him to stay, but I managed to convince him to stay.
I will have to hide our leftover bucket. I don't want to upset him again.

Sour Candy

Apple Face was feeling a bit down so I gave him a nice sour candy to suck on. I'm not sure if he enjoyed it or not. He is very hard to read being an apple and all.

I will be taking a picture a day of my carved apple face. As it ages it will get more character. Hopefully it wont get moldy.

There is a reason I don't enter many Multi Media contests. I suck at carving and sculpting and stuff like that.
