Sept 16 Bacon Fat

I cooked some bacon today and I set the pieces to drain on a piece of paper towel. When I lifted the towel off the plate I saw this. I had to take a picture of it. I think it look cool. It was really hard to get a good shot not having a proper lighting rig (or decent camera for that matter).

Actually it's a neat abstract, but the title sort of gives me that yech factor. Bacon fat by any other name might be sweeter (apologies for hacking up the original quote). Good color choice to make it less cholesterolic.

Bacon Fat? Ha! I thought it was something with frost on it. Good job!

It created a very interesting abstract.

Also a nice pattern abstract. Sometimes you should not let on what these things are, so as not to gross out your audience. To me it looked like some patterns on a half-glazed plate. Like it was deliberate in the glazing process...

baaaaaacooonnnn! What could possibly be gross about bacon! Beautiful shot, I love the pattern and lighting. Probably would look cool inverted as well...

Nice use of focus to create a textural abstract.
